Gardner's Guide is telling me this week is all about link building. I'm familiar with the concept, this isn't my first website nor my first year, and I know where most of my current links come from - blogspot, goodreads, and blogger. They all come from my interactions with other sites and the automatic publishing on GR I set up my blog with.
As such, I'm going to try this week to visit other blogs every day, instead of once a week.
The keywords of the links help a lot too, so next time I'm in a blog hop and leave my link in my comment and not just in the profile field I'll have to make sure I choose those wisely. Gardner suggests contacting blogs that have linked to me and ask to have the anchor text changed. A quick check of the two most individual blogs linking back to me show it's my name (or rather, pen name), which I'm okay with. Still, I need more linking opportunities.
I have noticed that when I do a Top Ten post in the Broke and the Bookish's meme I get new visitors and comments. I should do those more often.
So yeah, more blog visits this week. Good thing the schedule somehow has me as not working this week.
